Shirley Ann Grace

Shirley Ann (Brooks) Grace, 76 of Youngstown, who departed this life on December 12, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

Ms. Grace was born April 4, 1948 in Youngstown, Ohio the daughter of Ernest Jr. and Alice Forbes, Brooks. 

She was in 1966 graduate and a South High Warrior. She graduated from ITT tech, and one semester away from her business degree at Youngstown State University. She worked at Southside and Northside hospitals for 45+ years as an EKG and EEG Tech. She also served as a president of Mahoney Valley Credit Union, and president of Cancer Correlations. 

She enjoyed traveling, cooking, shopping bingo, and listening to her jazz music. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two sons, Dwayne, Brooks and Vernon Grace both of Youngstown; her sister Mary Alice Grabes; her granddaughter, Keisha Mcleroy; two great grandchildren, Alex and Peyton; her special niece, Deanna Banks Boswell; her aunt, Fannie; her uncle, Duke and a host of other family and friends. 

She was proceeded in death by her parents; her brother, Ernest Brooks Jr.; her sister, Ernestine Winston and her granddaughter, Fatima Johnson Brooks. 

There will be a visitation with the family from 11:00 to 12:00 PM on Friday, December 20, 2024 at F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home and the service will start promptly at 12:00 (noon) PM.
