Sherry Lynn Rivers

Ms. Sherry Lynn Rivers, 61 of Canton, Ohio, transitioned this earthly life, and was greeted by the angels to receive her heavenly reward on August 24, 2024 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. 

Sherry was born February 9, 1963 in Youngstown, Ohio our daughter to Patricia Rivers and Marvin Bonds. 

She attended East High School, then later moved to Canton, Ohio. She enjoyed spending time with her kids, grandkids, and great grandson. 

She also enjoyed hanging out with her sister and talking to her brother Marvin. She loved cooking and playing her lottery. She definitely was the life of any party that she attended. She was a loving, caring and kind person and would give the shirt off her back without hesitation. 

She leaves the cherish , her memory, her children, Shanelle Cash, Kenneth Rivers, Lateisha Rivers and Sherice Rivers all of Canton, Ohio and Sodia (Walter) Montgomery of Youngstown; 3 bonus sons, Davon Brown, Von Williams and Daryle Bryant; three sisters, Sonya Rivers, Dena Gilbert and Shirrell (Dwayne) Joe; two brothers, Marvin, Rivers and Terraine LeFlore; 13 grandchildren and one great grandson, and a host of other family and friends.

She proceeds in death by her parents, her son Anthony RIVERS; two sisters, Crystal Barnes and Lori Barnett; her aunt, Ethel Rivers; and also a special friend, Walter Daniels. 

A homegoing celebration service will be held 11:00 PM Friday September 6, 2024 at Jerusalem Church of Youngstown the family will receive visitors for viewing from 10:00 to 11:00 AM before the service.
