On Sunday, August 14, 2022, Shan Gore entered into rest at her home in Warren. Shan was born on June 5, 1980, in Youngstown, Ohio, a daughter of Robert and Jacqueline “Jackie” Mitchell Gore. She was a graduate of Wilson High School.
Shan worked as a home health aide at Your Home Court Advantage in N. Canton, Ohio for the last several years. She was baptized at Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church, serving in its youth choir, gospel choir and junior usher board.
Shan was a fun-loving, charismatic, and funny mother, sister, niece, and friend. She was sweet, caring and had a heart of forgiveness. She was VERY outspoken and loved her daughters and grandbaby so very much. She was so loved and will be missed by many.
She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Brandi Gore of Youngstown, and Briara Gore of Warren; a granddaughter Kalani Ivory Monae North, whom she helped rear; her father; a sister, Shamone (James) Gore Panter of Elyria; three nephews and one niece, Jackson, Chris, Kyle and Lin; her grandfather James Mitchell; Aunts Barbara (Vernon) Gilbert, Gayle (Ernie) Anderson, Kim Yvette Donlow, Lynette Wade, Angie Gore McLeod, Laverne (Reggie) Wallace, Madie Duncan, Daryl Lisbon and Alberta Lisbon; Uncles Ronald (Doreen) Mitchell, Richard (Cynthia ) Lisbon, Michael (Regina) Lisbon and Jerry Young and a host of grandaunt and uncles, cousins and many friends.
She will be welcomed home by her mother Jackie Gore, her grandmothers Mattie Hill Lisbon and Thelma Gore, her grandfathers Laconia Lisbon, and Frank Gore; her aunt A. Juanita Young and uncles James “Tuffy” Mitchell Jr, Robert Lisbon and Donald Lisbon.
