Mr. Robert J. Lincoln Sr. Youngstown departed his life on March 18, 2025 at Mercy Health St. Elizabeth Boardman Campus.
Mr. Lincoln was born in Youngstown October 16, 1925, and was the son of Paul Lincoln Sr. and Amy Lincoln.
He attended South High School graduating in 1942 and later enlisting in the Navy. He served in World War lI. , stationed in Okinawa, Japan. Bob would share his wartime experiences with avid listeners. He would mention dodging explosions and avoiding capture. Upon returning to the states, he married the love of his life, Barbara Gordon they were married for 78 years and raised four children, Robert Sr., David, Daniel and Sharon; his grandchildren, David and JoNtáe Lincoln, Tiffinae Ware and Rosa (Anthony) Verderosa and also many great grandchildren.
Robert was an auto-body technician by trade and operated his own auto-body repair shop. He taught auto-body repairs at Choffin Career Center from 1975-1977. He earned an associates degree in business and a certificate as a dental technician.
Using his carpentry skills, he built his own house, with the help of his father-in-law Earl Gordon in 1956. He was very proud of this accomplishment.
He’s proceeded to death by his parents; a brother Paul Lincoln Jr.; and the son Daniel Lincoln.
Calling hours will be held Friday, April 4, 2025 from 12:00 -1:00PM with services immediately following at 1:00PM all at F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home.
