Richard H. Cashwell- Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Tuesday July 26, 2016, at the Union Baptist Church for Richard Haywood Cashwell, 73, who departed this life on Wednesday July 20, 2016, at his residence. Mr. Cashwell was born June 7, 1943, in Youngstown, a son of Arthur Sr., and Emma Gilmer Cashwell. He retired as a pipe fitter for Delphi Packard, was a member of the church, the Breakfast Club, and was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan and he loved jazz music. He leaves his wife, the former Sheila K. Jackson, whom he married February 14, 1991; children Robin E. (Sterling) Barksdale of Upper Marlboro,MD., and Ricci F. (Rodolfo) Cashwell Vila of W. Carollton, nephews; Jamar M. (Valerie) Fordham Sr., who was like a son, of Atlanta, Arthur "Skip" Cashwell III of Gary, Ind,., and Melvin Cashwell of Mesa, Ariz., a niece, Roshonda Cashwell of Phoenix, and sister-in-law Beverly A (Herb) Sheathelm of Tucson, Ariz., 4 great-nieces, 7 great-nephews, including Jamar M. Fordham Jr. and Dorien A. Fordham, who enjoyed spending summer vacations with "Uncle Rick". He also leaves a host of relatives and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. a brother, Arthur Cashwell Jr., and former wife Faye Hollinger Cashwell. Friends may call on Tuesday from 10 am to 11 am at the church.
