Reginald "Reggie" Allen Sr

Reginald Allen Sr-Funeral service will be 10 am, Saturday, at the Berean Fellowship Church on 1321 Landsdowne Blvd., for Mr. Reginald "Reggie" Allen Sr., 74, Youngstown, who departed this life on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Health Center. 

Mr. Allen was born June 21, 1944, in Youngstown, a son of Earl and Annie Murphy Allen. He was a Superintendent for General Motors after 35 years of service, and retiring after the diagnosis with ALS also attended Geneva College majoring in Business.  He enjoyed playing softball and became a member of the Northside Reunion Committee, member of the Covenant Lodge #59, and a Navy veteran. He leaves his wife; the former Mary Gibson whom he married June 25, 1966, children; Patrice D. Allen, Reginald "Luz" Allen Jr., James Allen, siblings; Earl, Dwayne (Harlene) and Doyle (Joyce) Allen, a brother in law; Bishop Richard (Anita) Gibson, 2 sister-in-laws; Barbara Faison, and Janet Hill,a special brother Ernest (Butch) Paul, 6 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, special friends James and Sandy Derhodes and a host of other relatives and friends. 

He was preceded in death by parents, 2 sisters; Earlene Chism, and Shirley Ann Pruitt,  2 brothers; James and Marvin and a sister-in-law Glendale Allen. Friends may call from 2 pm to 5 pm Friday at the F. D. Mason Funeral Home, and 9 am to 10 am Saturday at the church.
