Prostell F. Thomas Sr

Prostell Thomas Sr- A Funeral Service will be at 11: 30 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at the F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc. for Mr. Prostell Thomas Sr., 95, who transitioned peacefully Saturday, March 23, 2019, at his home.

Mr. Thomas was born on Jan. 20, 1924, in Pelham, Ga., a son to Savannah Thomas and Malinda Lowe-King.

He was a retired steel worker from Youngstown Sheet and Tube, and was a member of the FNAM PHA Covenant Lodge No. 59 and Eastern Star Lodge No. 49. He also enjoyed reading, playing the guitar, gardening, singing gospel music and most of all spending time with his wife, children and family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former, Josephine Hall; his children, Debra (Gregory) Brown, Sophie (Delvert) Thomas-Campfield and Robert Thomas; his siblings, Magorie King and Elbert King; eight grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Prostell Thomas Jr.; a brother, Charles King; and a sister, Minnie Felder.

Visitation will be from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home where at 11:00 a.m the FNAM PHA Covenant Lodge No. 59 will perform a service.
