Portia Laverne Howell

Portia L. Howell- Funeral services was held on Tuesday August 2, 2016, at the Greater Friendship Baptist Church, for Portia Laverne Howell, 70, who departed this life on Tuesday, August 2, 2016, at her residence. Ms. Howell was born November 23, 1945, in Youngstown, a daughter of  Homer and Mattie M. Warner Howell. She retired from Packard Electric. She leaves her children, Crystal (Michael) Lottie of Canfield, Candis Samuels and Kathryn (John Johnson) Howell of Youngstown, a brother;  Jimmy (Janet) howell, Mattie Pearl (Edward) Bell, all of Youngstown, and Marian Washington of Detroit; her goddaughter, Kimara; her dearest friend, Itlean Mahdee of Youngstown; 7 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother; Clarence Howell; and a sister, Lela M. Howell and her companion, Northern Walker.
