Phillip S. Lindsey – Funeral Services will be at noon on Thursday, Oct. 18, 2018, at the Third Baptist Church for Mr. Phillip Lindsey, 67, who departed this life on Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Mr. was born Aug. 20, 1951, in Youngstown, the son of Isadore and Hester Lindsey.
He worked at the McDonald’s Steel Mill before his accident made him unable to work. He was baptized at an early age at the Third Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and annual camping his family had every year at Berlin Center Camp grounds.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Hester Lindsey; a daughter, Tina Lindsey; three granddaughters, Sharlisa and Shaquilla Lawson and Charlotte Lindsey; two great-granddaughters, Sa’Niyah Jordan and Serenity Parker; his siblings, Melvin (Boone) Wright, Lois (Charles) Powell, Henry and Janice Lindsey, Shirley Carson, Barbara (James) Worthy, Denise (Jasper) Marrow; and a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Isadore Lindsey; his grandparents, George and Flint Lindsey, Minnie and Percie Wright; his niece, Felicia Carson; and a great-niece, Aubrey Townsend.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services from 11 a.m. to noon on Thursday at the church.
