HMr. Philip James Carter, 65, of Youngstown,
transitioned this life on Thursday, October 17, 2024,
at his residence.
Mr. Carter was born June 23, 1959, in Youngstown,
Ohio, a son of Jessie and Corey “Cora” Mosley
Carter.
He attended Youngstown Public Schools graduating
in 1978 from North High School. He was honored for
being the equipment manager for both football and
basketball and was later inducted into the Hall of
Fame. He also attended trade school.
He was the family historian and loved to travel
constantly to visit family and friends and took many
photographs. He was born with a photographic
memory and remembered everything. He loved
listening to music, watching talk shows, and he loved
his soap operas.
He leaves the cherish his memory, his father, Bro.
Jesse L. Carter Sr.; his niece, Brandy (Jowone) Harris,
his cousins; Christine (Gary) Lynch, Leslie (Randy)
Stevens, Shirley Anderson, Phyllis Weeks,
Berty Barron, Ruby (W. A.-deceased), Carolyn (Jesse)
Harris and Robert Jones Jr., related family members,
Jacquelyn (John Sr. deceased) Carter, The Thomas
Clausell family, Geraldine family members, John
Dotson Sr., Thomas (Michelle) Hight Sr., Currie and
Arthur McGlothen Sr. family, Hilda Reese, Beverly
Charles, The Sinkfields, and a host of other relatives
and friends.
