Otha Penny Jr.-Otha Penny "Jr." made his earthly appearance on December 1, 1950 in Adel, GA., to the union of Vernice Alderman Penny and Otha Penny Sr. During his early childhood his family moved to the eastside of youngstown, Ohio, where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, and was baptized at Alpha & Omega First Baptist Church, of Youngstown, Ohio. In his later years he supported several ministries and joined Perfecting Faith International of Youngstown, Ohio. He was a 1970 graduated of North High School, Youngstown, Oh. At the age of 19, he was drafted into the United States Army, where he was a Supplyman and served in Germany, and attained the rank of SP4 (E-4) and received and Honorable Discharge. He was as avid hunting, fishing, and football enthusiast. He was preceded in death by his father, the late Otha Penny Sr., his grandparents whom he loved dearly. He is survived by his mother; Vernice Alderman Penny, children; Sean M. (Sara) Penny, Annice S. Penny, Tiffany N. Evans, and William J. Watkins. His grandchildren; Jordan, Alyssa, Justice, Sam, and Mason. His siblings; Pastor, Dr. Annie V. Johnson, Pastor Wayne (Deildra) L. Penny Sr., Herdis Penny, Wendell Penny, Orson Penny, James C. (Laura) Penny, and a host of neices, nephews, and friends. He will always be remembered in a positive way, by those whose lives he touched. Homegoing services will be held Monday December 7, 2015 at 11 am at the church. Friends may call 1 hour prior at the Alpha & Omega First Baptist Church. Arrangements are being handled by the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home.
