Mary "Cookie" Ellen Sutton

Mary E. "Cookie" Sutton-service will be 12 noon, Monday, April 1, 2019, at New Bethel Baptist Church for Mrs. Mary E. "Cookie" Sutton, 76, Youngstown, departed this life on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs Sutton was born October 15, 1942, in Youngstown, a daughter of Shade and Ida M. Tharpe Burney. She was a respiratory therapist at Southside Hospital and a member and financial secretary of the Lilly Grove Baptist Church. She was a former member of the Christian Life Church. She leaves her husband; Rev. Nathaniel DuBose, pastor of the Lilly Grove Baptist Church, a son; Mark Burney Sr., a sister Jennevia (Jerome) Hartley, special nephews; Jerome Hartley Jr., and Jason A. Hartley, 7 grandchildren, and a host of great-grandchildren, and other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by a sister; Katherine Hartley, and a brother Melvin Burney. Friends may call from 11 am to noon at the church.
