Clayton-Tapscott-Private services were held to honor her request for Mrs. Louvenia Gertrude Clayton-Tapscott, 100, Youngstown, who departed this life on Friday October 2, 2015 at her residence around family and friends. She was born on May 21, 1915 to Pawny B. and Maggie May Rudd Shorter in Opelika, AL. She was a homemaker and was married to Benjamin Clayton (deceased) and then remarried to Allen Tapscott Sr. (deceased). She leaves to cherish her memory 2 daughters: Maggie Clayton-Talley with whom she made her home, and Cynthia Clayton-Talley both of Youngstown, 3 sons: Norman E. Clayton, Allen Tapscott, and Julius Clayton, all of Youngstown, 2 sisters: Julia M. Strozier and Emma (Arlette) Gatewood, both of Youngstown, host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren including: Sharon Talley-Warren, Kala Blunt, Micasla Pegues, Kevin Talley, and special great-grand: NJieema Brightwell, and Troy Robinson Jr., and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents. Arrangements were entrusted to F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
