Kenneth R. Davis affectionately known as “Kenny” was called home to rest in his heavenly home on October 18, 2024.
Kenny was born on October 25, 1946 to Carrie Lee Davis-Hudson and Armond Moore. He was a lifelong resident of Youngstown, Ohio, where he was a member of Mount Gilead Baptist Church for a time.
And his younger years, Kenny, he served his country during the Vietnam era after service in the United States Navy. He returned to Youngstown where he worked at General Motors and CRST trucking company. Later in life, he found joy in construction work and home remodeling such as painting and laying flooring.
Kenny was a humble and quiet man, but always ready to impart positive wisdom and sound advice to family and friends.
He leaves to cherish his memories, three loving daughters whom he adored, Chauntie’ Watson-Gibbs(Francis) of Youngstown, Erica Hunter (DeShannon) of Florida and Kisha Mitchell (Tyree) of Youngstown; his beloved grandchildren, Asia, Nathan Jr.,Em'Mauri, Sean (Varonte), Daisha, Tyree Jr, Amare', Taryn, Terrance Jr, TayZhane; 11 great grandchildren, he had a special bond with his great grandson Juju (who he spent time disciplining and mentoring in football) and his favorite niece, Florence.
He also leaves to mourn his 2 sisters Linda Davis, Karen Davis (Vonnie); his brother, Ricky Davis (Kim) and a host of nieces, nephews family, and friends.
Waiting to greet Kenny in heaven are his parents, his brother, Steve Davis; his son, Terrence Robinson Sr. and his adored niece, Florence Davis.
A homegoing celebration service will be held 1:00 PM Friday November 1 , 2024 at F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home and a viewing will be from 12:00 to 1:00 PM.
