Julia Eliza Watkins

Julia E. Watkins-Funeral service will be 2 pm Saturday, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church, for Mrs. Julia E. Watkins, 87, Boardman, who departed this life on Monday, June 4, 2018, in St. Elizabeth  Boardman.

She was born January 6, 1931, in Youngstown, a daughter of Calvin J.  and Eliza Youbrough Patterson Sr. She was a graduate of 
The Rayen School, was a founding member of the church, worked for Ohio Bureau of Employment Services (OBES) retiring after 31 years of service, and was the secretary for S. O. A. R. She leaves her sons; Albert Y. and Gary R. Watkins of Boardman, twin grandsons; Marlow L. and Marlin A. Roberts of Columbus, 3 great-granddaughters; LaSchelle, Mariah, and Myah Roberts of Columbus, a son-in-law; Pastor Allan D. Roberts, of C. A. Y. A., in Columbus, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; Albert S. Wat. kins, a daughter, LaSchelle  Roberts, siblings; Wilhelmenia (Foster) Dawson, Carolyn (Samuel) Mack and Calvin J. (Mattie) Patterson II. Friends may call on Friday from 6 to 8 pm at Mt. Gilead, and 1 pm to 2 pm at the church on Saturday.
