Mr. James Edward McNair 70, of Youngstown, Ohio was called to eternal Peace on October 27, 2024 at Mercy Health St Elizabeth Health Center surrounded by his children and loved ones.
Mr. McNair was affectionately known as (JoeJoe) was born on October 26, 1954 in Goldsboro, North Carolina to the parents of Tessie McNair and Roosevelt Davis Sr.
He was baptized and accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal savior at an early age. JoeJoe enter the United States Army and was entered into active duty on May 31, 1973 and ranked as a P-V1. He was honorably discharged with a national defense service metal leaving him a proud veteran.
He worked as a machine forklift operator for 20+ years and retired from Brilex in 2010.
JoeJoe with an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, he loved playing cards and conversing with his family and friends. He made a huge impact was touched so many lives, if you were ever down, he had a way of making you smile by the end of the day. The life you spread it was so infectious to know him was to love him. He was always willing to be the life of the party and he would truly be missed by everyone.
He leaves the cherish his memory, 9 daughters, Keisha, Shameika, Marquita, Vallon, Jodeci, Tina, Gracie, Sandra and Ja’Quala; 13 sons, Jerrell, James, Coreaa, Daquan, Towonquise, Quashawn, Johnathan, Larry, Tim, Correll, Bartnious, Shawn and Justin; a nephew whom he reared, Allister Green, and his sidekick, Ja’Quarri, his siblings, Sonny, Marvin, Walter, Willie, Vista, Mary, Helen, Aletha, and the entire Butler family and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and other family and friends.
He was proceeded to death by, his wife Virigina McNair, his life partner, Elizabeth Miles the mother of his several children; Inez Horne; two sons, Jarrett Miles and Justin Fields; his siblings, Fred, Charles, Allen, David, Willie, Jessie, Magalene, Bertha, and Loretta. Dad, you will be truly missed. We love you, Pops.
There will be a visitation with the family from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church and the Homegoing Celebration will start at 11:00 AM.
