Herman D Price

Mr. Herman Dwayne Price, Affectionately known as,"Shem" age 67 departed this life July 26,2024 at his home in New Brighton, PA. 

Herman was born March 2, 1957 in Toledo, Ohio to the late Mr. Garfield (Chub) Price and Mrs. Ada Asberry Price Jones. 

He attended Campbell Memorial High School in Campbell, OH where he was raised. He was a member and drum player at Tabernacle Baptist Church Youngstown, OH. 

Herman was an extraordinary drummer who had the pleasure of playing with The Ohio Players. His smile before and after he played lit up the room with joy which spread to those that watched and listened. 

Herman was also an excellent cook, which was also one of his hobbies along with his chosen career path. He loved to grill, listen to or play music, and spend time with family and friends.

He leaves to cherish his children, One daughter, Ms. June Ann Price, whom he called "June June". Two sons, Jamiel Dion Hill (Diane) and Hyden Dwayne Price. His brother, Mr. Eddie Asberry, Jr (Nadine). A brother in law, Hylvester Bullock and A sister in law, Ms. Christine Asberry.

He leaves 5 grandchildren, Bryasia Walker, Davon London, Aundrea London, Jalen Rich Sr, and Janessa Rich. Also 8 great grandchildren and host of Aunts, Uncles, nieces, nephews and friends. 

Herman was preceded in death by His mother and father, Two sisters, Mrs.Minnie Davis (Boyd Davis), Mrs.Elizabeth Bullock. A brother, Mr.Tommie Lee Price. A nephew, Mr. Eddie "Frog" Lewis Asberry Jr and a niece, Ms. Yolanda "Puddin" Charles.

A homegoing celebration service will be held 12:00 P.M. Monday August 12 2024 at F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home the family will receive visitors for viewing from 11:00 to 12:00 PM before the service.
