Forrest was born March 27, 1943, in Youngstown, a son to the late Forrest and Mary P. Echols Allan Adams. He was employed by Firestone Tire and retired from General Motors. He was a member of the Afro Dogs and MC Motorcycle clubs. He enjoyed working on cars, racing cars, and watching WWF Wrestling and watching western movies.
Sonny Speed leaves his mother and his children, Anita “Niecy” Gibson, Crystal Adams, Carmella (Patrick) Hymes, Forrest T. Adams Jr., and Thomas F. Adams; stepson Kevin (Jennifer) Dunn; his aunt, Catherine Williams; 12 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a god-brother, Leroy “Bobby” Cosby; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father; his step-father, Louis Allen, who reared him; grandparents; and his special granddaughter, Nicole Monique Adams, his best friend that meant the world to him.
