Ernest L. Williams, born in Youngstown, Ohio, on December 19, 1937, to the late Ernest Kimberly and Louise Jenkins, was called home to rest on December 27, 2024.

As a young man, Ernest attended school in Campbell,Ohio. Ernest worked for various construction companies outside of Local Union 125, where he honed his skills and built a reputation for his dedication and hard work. The last company he worked for, before retirement, was A.P. O'Horo Company General Contractors.

 Ernest, known by his sister, Priscilla, and other loved ones as a man of laughter, lived life to the fullest. One of the many things he enjoyed was fishing, a passion that he passed on to his nephews, spending countless hoursteaching them the art of fishing. Ernest also appreciated music, particularly the soulful sounds of Jazz and Rhythm and Blues. He also enjoyed watching westerns and was known for his impeccable style, always dressing with elegance and flair.

 After a beautiful courtship, Ernest married Johnnie MaeAmouson. Before she passed away, they were united in a loving marriage for 45 years, creating wonderful, lastingmemories. 

 Fortunate enough to find love a second time, Ernest andVeronica Wright were united in Holy Matrimony. Theyenjoyed almost a decade together, filled with love,laughter, and shared experiences.

 He also had the honor of being father to Blondine Davenport, a devoted mother and caregiver.

 Ernest's spiritual foundation resulted from interaction with the pastors in his family. Continuing their Faith, Ernest and Veronica joined Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, Youngstown, Ohio. Upon the retirement of the pastor of this church, Veronica and Ernest transitioned to worshipwith Apostle Michael Scott, Sr., and Pastor Wilena Scott, Lighthouse Covenant Ministries.

 Ernest Williams' memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved him. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Veronica D. Wright Williams; Sister, Priscilla Jefferson of Atlanta, Georgia (Fred, deceased); Daughter, Blondine Davenport of Youngstown, Ohio; Stepchildren, Aubrey Wright, Jr. (Marah) of Atlanta, Georgia, Genia Wright (Jaymes) of Brooklyn NY, and Brittany Wright of Raleigh, North Carolina; Grandchildren, Jumeece N. Brown, Corneisha Booth, Dre'Vaune Booth, JumalMcQueen; Step-grandchild, Skyylar Jorsling; Seven great-grandchildren; Nieces and nephews, Charity Britt (Jackie), Abby Cook (Arron), Vince Jefferson (Debbie), Eric Jefferson, Marq Jefferson (Sonja), StephenJefferson; Cousins, Deanna Matthews and Juanita Bailey;Aunt, Mildren Kimberly.

 Ernest was preceded in death by one grandchild, Antwan Davenport, a nephew, Lance Jefferson, and one cousin,Amelia Bailey.

 A homegoing funeral celebration with be held 10:00 A.M. Saturday, January 11, 2025 at Word Inaction Ministries, the family will receive friend from 9:00 to 10:00 A.M.. Saturday at the church.
