Emmitt L. Ellis-Services will be Saturday October 31, 2015 at 10 am at the Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church for Mr. Emmitt Lee Ellis, 77, Youngstown, who departed this life on Thursday October 22, 2015 in Assumption Village. Mr Ellis was born January 13, 1938 in Meridian MS., to Rev. Thomas E. & Pellie Driver Ellis. He worked for LTV Steel, retiring in 2003. His wife the former Eloise Emerson, whom he married March 31, 1960, passed away March 25, 2007. He was a Co-Chairman of the Trustee Board of the church and a member of the male chorus. He leaves his children: Tommie (Tonya) Ellis of Las Vegas, Terrence (Adrian) Ellis of Clinton UT., Tyrone Ellis and Rolanda(Johnny) Robbins all of Youngstown, Siblings: Luther (Flora) Ellis and Willie B. Ellis all of Meridian, Nan (Rev. Grady) Williams of Champion, Oh., Norman (Lyna) Ellis of Cincinati, Oh., Josie Greer of Dacula, GA., Pellie (James) Williams, of Joliet, IL., 7 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, a son; Timothy Ellis, 3 brothers; Reuben, George, and Herbert Ellis, a granddaughter; Audrianna Robbins. Friends may call for 9 to 10 am Saturday at the church. Arrangements are being handled by F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
