Memorial services will be held Saturday, January 11, 2025 at 10am at F.D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, for Eleanor E. Harris who passed away Thursday, December 27, 2025 at Compassus Hospice Care.
Miss Eleanor, as she was affectionately called, was born on July 23,1931 in Youngstown, Ohio to John and Ellen Howell.
She attended and graduated in 1949, from The Rayen High School, where she was a member of the baseball, basketball, and volley ball teams and was a High Stepping Majorette of the Trojan Military Band.
Mrs. Harris was a ward clerk for St. Elizabeth Hospital until her retirement. After retiring, she became a caregiver. Her hobbies were knitting, needlework, crocheting, baking, and gardening.
She was a member of Mill Creek Community Church in Boardman, Ohio.
She leaves to mourn, brother, Richard Howell, of Cleveland, Ohio, daughters, Wynette Harris of Tennessee, GeorgeAnn Harris and Lynn Coffer of Youngstown, Debbie Holland of Colorado, and a bonus son, Roderick Davidson, of Alabama. 16 grandchildren, 17 great great grandchildren, and 2 triple great grandchildren. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents, John and Ellen, husband Winford, daughter Cheryl, and brothers Norman, Clarence, Raymond, and Arnold.
We, the family of Eleanor E. Harris are grateful beyond measure for every expression to us.
While it is difficult to let her go, we are thankful to God for the time we were blessed to have her, 93 wonderful years. We believe and trust God for His gift of wisdom, patience, courage, understanding, strength, and love to withstand this difficult time. Please continue to keep our family in prayer. May God's blessing be with each of you today and always.
