Edna Magdalene White

Edna M. White-Funeral services will be held 10 am, Saturday, November 4, 2017, at Tabernacle Baptist Church, for Mrs. Edna M. White, 89, Youngstown, who departed this life, Thursday, October 26, 2017, at St. Elizabeth Health Care Center. 

Mrs White was born September 18, 1928, Youngstown, a daughter of Samuel H. and Queen Victoria Dukes Erkard Sr. She worked at General Electric for many years. She was a lifelong member of the church. She played the piano for the children's choir and for the Sunday school. She produced and directed the "Million Dollar Wedding." She taught craft classes, was a honorary coordinator for the Flower decoration ministry, member of a choir, and a member of the Willing workers ministry.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her children; George A. White and  Valetta Richardson, a sister Victoria Tommie all of Youngstown, 3 grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; Samuel Erkard Jr., twins, Alvin and Elvin Erkard, Morgan Thomas Erkard, Glenie Haynes and Claudia Harris. Friends may call from 9 am to 10 am at the church.
