Darlene "Dee Dee" McClendon Hood

Darlene McClendon Hood- Funeral services will be at 3 pm on Monday May 9, 2016 at the New Bethel Baptist Church for Mrs. Darlene "Dee Dee" McClendon Hood, 61, Youngstown, who departed this life on Sunday May 1, 2016, at her residence. Mrs. Hood was born September 28, 1954, a daughter of Edward and Emma Alexander McClendon, She was a Resident Assistant and chef at Williams Residence Group, and was a member of First Calvary Baptist Church. Her husband, Gary M. Hood, whom she married June 11, 2010, died January 11, 2012. She leaves her son; Leonard W. McClendon of Charlotte, NC., brothers; Darrell (Arlene) McClendon, and Joseph ("Bill") McClendon, both of Youngstown, sister-n-law; Alice McClendon, of Youngstown, and a grandson; Khalil Williams of Columbus. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother; Robert McClendon, Sr., uncles, aunts, and a host of other relatives and friends. Friends may call from 2 pm to 3 pm Monday at the church.
