Cora Grier Rushton

Cora G. Rushton- Funeral services were held on Monday October 19, 2015 at 11 am at New Bethel Baptist Church for Mrs Cora G. Rushton, 86, Youngstown, who departed this life on Sunday October 11, 2015 in St Elizabeth Health Center. Mrs. Rushton was born Jauary 2, 1929 in Youngstown, a daughter of William and Florence Whitley Grier. She was a homemaker, a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, and sang in its choir. Her husband, Sevoy W. T. Rushton, whom she married October 20, 1956, died July 20, 1998. She leaves her children: Anthony (Lena) Jones, Samuel (Marie) Grier, Melvin (Brenda) Rushton, Naomi Grier, Paul Smith of Niles,  a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her children: Cora E. Rushton, Hedy Grier, Marvin Rushton, great-granddaughter, and 14 brothers and sisters. Arrangements were entrusted to F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
