Clara C. Axel- Funeral services will be at 1 pm, on Tuesday, at the New Hope Baptist Church for Ms. Clara C. 
Axel, 94, departed this life Tuesday at her residence.

Ms. Axel was born March 13, 1925, in Youngstown, the daughter of William and Alberta Brown Watson. She was a graduate of East High School, she retired from Packard Electric Co., in Warren. She was a lifelong member of the New Hope Baptist Church. She also was a member of several auxillaries in the church and an Ombudsman and Flower Garden Club member. She leaves her children; Patricia Axel, Ariel (Tony) Umara, a sister; Vivian Watson, grandchildren; Patrick (Camella) Hymes Sr., Neguana (Rasul) Little-Carr, Ashley (Anthony) Taylor, George Little, Marshay (Gene) Arnold, Quiess (William) Mohammad, Laliet (Bobby) Gyesi and Jahmai Johnson, Mariah Giles; 19 great-grandchildren and 8 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George Axel II, a son George Axel III, brothers; Thomas, Thomas C., William and Amos; sisters; Beatrice and Grace; a granddaughter; Andrea; and two grandsons, Taren and Tiwan Axel. Friends may call today from 12 noon to 1 pm at the church.
