Carl J. Ivey-Funeral services will be held at noon, Tuesday at the Tabernacle Baptist Church for Carl "Moon" Ivey, 65, who departed this life Saturday, April 9, 2016 at Park Vista Rehabilitation Center. Mr. Ivey was born June 10, 1950, in Talbotton, GA., a son of Rev. L.C. and Eva B. Bunkley Ivey Sr. He was educated in Youngstown Public School System and was a 1968 graduate of The Rayen High School. He had worked for Youngstown Steel Door and he was an avid Cleveland Browns fan. He loved being around his family and was truly loved by his friends. He leaves 4 children, Demetria (Leonard) Moyer, William Dawson, Nicole (Varick) David and Carl J. Ivey II, all of Kileen, TX., 2 brothers, Joe (Shirley) Ivey of Dayton, and Michael (April) Randle of Youngstown, 2 sisters, Gwendolyn (Rocco) Harris of Youngstown, and Carolyn (Michael) Lizzle of Virginia Beach, VA., a special nephew, Michael Ivey, who was his caregiver; seven grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 2 sister-in-laws, Viola Ivey, and LaVerne Ivey of Youngstown and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Lenton Jr., and Sidney W. Ivey; grandparents Cicero and Clara Ivey and Sidney and Sally Bunkley. Friends may call from 11 am to 12 noon at the church.
