Amelia Wilson-Funeral service will be held on Monday at 11 am, at the Price Memorial AME Zion Church for Amelia Wilson, 92, who slipped away into the hands of our Savior on Friday December 18, 2015, at Park Vista Retirement Center in Youngstown. Amelia was born July 23, 1923, the daughter of the late Wincy and Arthur Allen, in Wadesbourgh, NC., and came to this area in her early life. She was a high school graduate and worked as a teacher's aide in the Ohio School System, and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; children Carolyn and Robert Wilson, a brother; Arthur Lee, and a sister; Adah Mae McClendon. Cherishing her memory are her 5 grandchildren; Kimberly Michelle Wilson-Talley of Youngstown, Robert Lamont Wilson of Youngstown, Keith Delaney Wilson of Forts Smith, Ark., Rakeem Jethrow of Warren and Keena Joyce Wilson-Hardy of Youngstown, 6 great-great-grandchildren; Aaron, Andre, Roshon, Ashanti, La'Resha and De'Vante, 3 nieces; Deborah Madison, of Youngstown, Kathleen McLendon of Greenbelt, MD., and Yolanda Barrington of Columbia,MD.,5 nephews; John B. (Jackie) McLendon of Bloomfield, CO., Arthur L. (Luvenia) McLendon and Vincent (Evelyn) McLendon of Youngstown, George A. (Shelia) McLendon of Warren and Derrick G. McLendon of Washington, DC., and a host of relatives and friends. Calling hours are Monday from 10 am to 11 am at the church. Arrrangements for Amelia are being handled by the F. D. Mason Memorial Funeral Home.
